Hello I am an amphibian and aquarium hobbiest and I am super excited to have found this forum. I am glad I am not alone in my undying love for my amphibious pets. I make sure to keep myself up to date with all new information about all my pets so I can stay on top of things which means if I have one i can answer a quite a lot of questions for other people. I currently am 'mommy' to 6 african dwarf frogs, a black eyed tree frog, a red eyed tree frog, a cobalt dart frog, a chinese blue phase glider, a female gold albino axolotl and a female leucistic axolotle (not including my beautiful fish).

I am really in to film making and video art so if anyone has some projects, I might be of service, and I am currently in Uganda shooting a documentary, but was raised in Spokane. I speak spanish french and norwegian.
I look forward to meeting you all. Peace and Love

Hi Punky,

You are definitely not alone. Looks like you will be a valuable asset to the site, too. Welcome to the Forum!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
