Hi, these are my 2 axies Zerg is the male, Pro is the female - they are both about 10 months old and they are 5 inches long. They enjoy bloodworm and earthworms (both hand fed) and we think Pro might be ready to drop some eggs.

The pics were taken on my 3 year old camera phone so they are a bit blurry!

Enjoy!

(Oh and BTW if anyone comments on the substrate please read the album description as I'm not silly enough to put gravel in with them, lol)

Haha, Are they in Love? or trying to stop each other eating? very good looking pair

They are sooooo greedy because I mainly feed bloodworm I give it to them every day and Zerg always nudges Pro outta the way so he can get a nice juicy lump. A lot of the time they lay on top of eachother in the slate cave, they're inseperable :p

That is nice, I am lucky because my albino prefers the frozen bloodworm but my leucistic likes the live bloodworm so they eat seperatly, my two lay together a lot but only top to tail for some reason. Have you tried earthworm yet?

I have tried cut up bits of earthworm about an inch long and they love it, but as they're quite hard to come by ( and I don't have a garden I can dig up) I only get them as a treat :)

My wildtype loves eathworm but I think that's because he's slightly bigger and more 'agressive' towards his food. Protoss can just sit happily pulling at the bloodworms for ten minutes.

Very nice looking axolotls you have there! Also, the names are hilarious; nice to see another Starcraft fan in the axie world. :)

;) when we get a bigger tank we're looking for a 3rd to complete it to Terran! My BF got chosen for the starcraft 2 Beta trials and its awesome.

That's awesome! I too was chosen for the Beta, and me and my BF have been playing a lot lately. :D I can't wait until you get a third little guy to round out your group! :)

If they ever fight to the death (let´s hope not :p) i support Zergling xDD

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
