Here are 5 of the babies that I decided to keep from the eggs that hatched the weekend of April 10th....they are around 4 inches now, fat, active, and healthy! :D

This is a little video I took tonight of them doing their little dance before I feed them. :D

Not the best quality because I took it on my Kodak camera...but I just grabbed it because they are so funny! :p

They are so cute, and very good swimmers!!!

Look at them go! So adorable!

I also love how long and feathery their gills are, they're really nice looking!

So cute!!! You picked some good ones! That wild type has some nice colors. And yes I agree, their gills are so nice and long! Very, very cute axies you got. I like them swimming around, and your tank looks so big!

They are some of the cutest little things ive ever seen the dark grey one reminds me of my little guy was when i got him, hes not quite so hyper now he's gettin big tho! nice huge tank wish I could afford one that big for gomez!

lol - oh I love this video!!! After seeing axies doing this goofy stuff, who could help but become addicted? They are such little clowns!

I had to show this to my kids who were all convinced they were mine and thought it was awesome that I had them on the computer now! lol

Love that white sand and BIG tank! Your guys have some great colors - will love to see how they turn out!

they're adorable! I love how they come up to the wall and look out at you, very interactive little things. Also so cute how they just hang there in the middle of the water!! :D I'm curious to see feeding time!

They are so funny! I'll have to see if my son can video feeding time...my husband offered a piece of worm last night and totally jumped when the one snatched it out of his fingers! :p The one wild is a little snappy taking food, but the others are just like "Mmmm! Thanks mom!!" and then they sit and wait for more!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
