Hey, I recently started a post about an axolotl not eating with a swollen cloaca - thank you to everyone who replied to me via forum/pm. =]
Last night however things took a turn for the worse, he became pretty much immobile only minutes before I was set to transfer him to the fridge. I moved him across to the container where I noticed his legs were twitching, he had lost most of his colour and mouth appeared gaped open.
He appeared to calm down and so I transferred him to the fridge. When looking in this morning I presumed he was dead. Resting almost on his side, eyes looked lifeless and no limb movement...but then his tail moved. I feel so at a loss and stupid, but is he still alive?
I've left him where he is until I can receive some form of what to do next. It's proving near impossible to get him in with a vet as it's a bank holiday Monday and I seem to be being sent in round a bouts!
I'm sorry for posting a separate thread but I don't know what else to do.
