Can you put a axolotl with a fire bellied newt??

i have a fire bellied newt and i dont know if the axolotl will eat him :evil:he hasnt arivved yet i ordered an albino adult on line for 43$$$ im so excited:D:D:happy::eek:

Have you had a chance to read the information from Axolotls: The Fascinating Mexican Axolotl and the Tiger Salamander It reviews the housing, water, and feeding needs that your new axolotl will have. Loads of people are here to answer further questions as they arise. Good luck with your new axolotl. (And no. It cannot share a tank with a fire bellied newt.) Actually, there's also some great info on this site under the caudata culture articles that will talk about the care and maintenance of firebellied newts, if that's any help.
