My Axolotls doing what they do best, BEING LAZY xD

I always thought about getting an Axolotl. They're Wierd, yet cute...:D

Their gills are looking much better.

Lol this is before they're fungus attack D: sorry to say that but yea i wish they still had those fluffy gills :(.... They are improving quite a bit how much time do u think it should take for the healing process of the gills? :O

Looks like the flow from that filter is really powerful...seems everywhere the Axie goes its gills are getting blown around...is that how it is still setup?

Nope :) not anymore yea, that filter was a Aquaclear Mini, pretty flowy but now they have a Fluval 2 Plus , waaaaaay less flow :p

Hmmm well axolotls sometimes grow their gills back and sometimes they never come back or only partially come back. Time will tell... it will probably take a long time.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
