I have 2 green tree frogs lots of plants nice humid hiding spots water dish a a little pool sort of thing its about 6 inches lone the deepst it gets is about 3.8 inches. And i recently added a green anole about the sae size anfd they both seem to be getting along. So is it okay to mix these two. i know its not recomended but ive heard alo of success stories.

I guess you could, just always keep a carefull eye and also they might compete for food a little since they both eat the same food but anoles have been known to eat smashed fruits.

i think most hobbyist here will agree mixing species is not a good idea. disease, stress, fighting and predation all become risks. not to mention if your were an anole would you like to be potentially pooped on by a tree frog?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
