Found at a thrift store yesterday. No scratches, no cracks, no leaks. Held water all night with no problems. Came with a screen lid. A dollar per gallon
I put an hour long "hold" on it before the actual purchase to go home and measure to make sure I could squeeze it into the newt room. It will barely fit against one wall, but I think the door will still close I have a plan that will utilize some nifty rearrangement of current tanks and a shelving unit. I've no solid plan for inhabitants yet...maybe a dolphin...
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
