Hi everyone!

Me and another member are big fans of the hit TV series Game of Thrones, and one night (I say night, it was more like early hours of the morning) We decided to let our imaginations go wild and create the idea for "Game Of Newts"!

So far we have came up with several ideas of things to do with GON! (like what i did there? :p instead of GOT) So hopefully all you Game of Thrones fans will aprove of this! lol

Anyway, heard some ideas firstly with the Houses:


  • House Stark "Winter Is Coming"
    House Echinotriton (because they aren't hardy) - Family Motto "Worms is Coming"

  • House Targaryn "Fire & Blood"
    House Tylototriton (Tylo's look Dragon like) - Family Motto "Warts & Poison"
  • House Greyjoy "We Do Not Sow"
    House Siren - Family Motto "We Do Not Tail Fan"
We shall add to this!! But feel free to add your ideas on the many different house ideas and quotes! :)

TO THE NEWT OF THE NORTH (King Of The North ;) lol)

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
