The pebble matting I use around the pond is good for mosses and other plants to grow on.
Some newts seem to like this small pond, small plants growing give a natural look.
Overhanging stone edges, with gaps between so newts and other creatures can get out of pond.
These are newt eggs laid on poly bags (strips of super market bags,cut into strips about 10mm)
