Title elderly N. v. dorsalis
Description This is one of the newts I obtained (wild-caught) in 1983. The photo was taken in 2001. I noticed that they tended to get more orange spots as they got old.

Sadly no. All of my Notophthalmus died within a few months after I moved house in 2003. She was 5 inches (12.5 cm) at death.
