Just thought i would post some pics of some of my animals....specially since i managed to get some decent pics of them. I know it´s a small collection, but i´m damn proud of my little newts...and i enjoy them more and more every day.

I think you have some very nice specimens there, Rodrigo. My collection is small too, but like you I am very proud of my animals and it seems the more I observe them the more they interest me.

Hey, your collection is pretty good. I only have one newt (but she's really healthy).

Thanx. I agree with you Jen...the more you see and know about them the more you like them. Always been a caudate freak...since i can remember, but i can definitely say that ever since i got these animals my passion has grown exponentilly.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
