Can't help taking so many pictures!! I was same way with my children.

As you can see Pira (gold one) loves having his/her picture taken, comes right up and does a pose.

Ori (white one) is a bit more shy unless its dinner time.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

They are sooooooo cute! Love the head-on shots of Pira, he looks like a lion guarding the gate.

Yep Pira is certainly the dominant one!! Poor Ori gets what Pira doesnt eat. Ori sits and waits till Pira is done eating then he/she will finish up. They are such little pigs, I remember reading a post on here where someone was saying they are little beggers, boy is that the trueth!!!!

Awww, really cute!

They are gorgeous Terry. And don't worry about taking too many pictures - it's not a bad thing being totally obsessed and I think it's wonderful to record an axie growing from being a cute wee bit of a thing to a magnificent adult. ;)

thats awsome i would really like to see more soooooo cute!
:p

Pira has learned how to climb the plastic plants I have in his/her tank. So cute to watch them explore their new home. Pira is gonna be my dare devil where as Ori is more conservative and shy.

Glad to know that I can't take to many photos, friends and family laugh cause where ever I go I take my camera and show of "my babies" and think its cute I talk about them like my kids.

Just love my new family members!!!!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
