I went to pick up my axie yesterday... but they were so gorgeous and healthy and cute I couldn't say goodbye to all of them and I had to take 2. So now I need another tank (or a bigger one), but for now they're so tiny I'm hoping they'll be happy in together until I can sort something out.

They're obviously stressed, but the tank is cycled and the temp is around the 22 mark so I'm hoping it's just the move. The water flow is turned down as low as it will go, but I'm going to put together some kind of spray bar today in case it's still too much.

Sorry, I went a little camera crazy... hopefully you'll enjoy the pics though :D

In case you're wondering, the light isn't bright and it was only on for a few mins for photos. They didn't seem any more stressed out than before with it on and didn't run away to hide so I thought it would be ok.

Your axies look absolutely adorable, they are so cute. Your set-up looks great too, how about a few shots of your tank.

Thanks guys!
I want to take them out and cuddle them, but I'm not sure they would appreciate the gesture.

They're still stressed out, which is stressing me out. I figured it probably wasn't helping that I'm constantly fussing with them, so I left them all night with a towel over the tank and that didn't do much. The water is perfect, the temperature isn't terrible (22.1) and I spent all afternoon making a spray bar - It's not finished yet because I can't figure out how to attach it and make it sit straight but I don't think theres any water flow.

Here's pics of the set up Madeve.Try finding the Leucistic in the first pic :D It's the only one I've taken where he/she is hiding... usually (im going to go with she) follows me and the camera, trying to get in every shot. The tank is 2ft and perfect for one... not sure whether I'm going to get a 2nd 2ft or a bigger one for them both. I made the hide on the left by sticking rocks to pvc piping, and I made the one on the right by sticking the same rocks together and putting slate on top. I've tried to attach java fern to the pipe, there's java moss on top of the slate, a banana lily in the back and water sprite on top plus 5 fake plants. I put so much work into it, I just want them to enjoy it instead of being all stressed :(

It looks really great, I almost want to say it looks big enough for both of them at adult size. What are the dimension on the tank?

I think your axies are sooooo cute!! I don't know if they are stressed out. How old are they? They look like they are still quite young. Soooo cute!!!

Your set up looks really nice too, I'm sure they are very happy in their new home.

Thanks! I still can't get over how cute they are when they're little. They're from Peter's batch - http://www.caudata.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57631
They all looked so happy and healthy, if I had a bigger house I would have picked up the whole tank of babies and brought it home.

They're 4 months old and 10cm, so unfortunately I think the tank might just look bigger than it is in comparison. Its 60cm long, 30cm wide and 30cm high.

Their gills are permanently pointing forward, but I think the spray bar made a difference - their tails aren't curled so I'm hoping that it was just the water flow upsetting them, which I've fixed.

When they are little it is normal for their gills to point forward/ straight up. Don't worry too much!

My juvies gills are similar to your little one's.

Thanks Kira, that makes me feel better. They've definitely calmed down since yesterday, so hopefully everything is good

That's an awesome tank setup you have. I would be very happy with that if I were an axolotl.
