Here's a few pics of my axies, hope you like them :D

First up is Axel, my leucistic. Although still a juvenile he's growing at a rapid rate, but still a bit finicky when it comes to pellets and much prefers a nice worm.

Here's my new arrivals, two golden albinos and two white albinos. They are still really tiny, the largest (which is the light coloured golden albino in the second and third pic) is only just over 2 inches

Bless they're so sweet!!

The babies look about the same age as mine. What are they eating at the moment?

You know, I think you're on to something. I suspect our little "friends" are more than meets the eye

Axel looks great, congrats on the tiny new ones.

Melfly,

All of them are eating frozen bloodworm now, even the tiny white albino whose just developing his back legs and is around an inch in length. The largest of them though had his/her first taste of pellets tonight and seemed to like those as well, unlike Axel who likes to spit them back at me! :D

They're all growing at a tremendous rate at the moment, and it's fascinating watching their development on a daily basis.

Here's one of a young Axel doing what he does best, devouring a worm!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
