Here are a couple pictures of my T. gran tank. It is a 29 gallon. You can see the improvement from a year and a half ago(first picture). The fan is what I use to keep the water cool. It lowers the temperature by a good 4 degrees and helps me alot during the summer. The water is a little bit low, but it's usually higher, especially after water changes. My female laid eggs for me last year, but they were not fertile. Hopefully, this winter I'll get some good eggs. The plants are somewhat new and there are snails everywhere, but I don't mind them that much.

I like your T. granulosa Will! The little fan is a great idea, it might serve me well in the future.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
