I've noticed, there wasn't a Tylo-social group yet, so I made one. For sharing knowledge and experience. Including me, everybody can learn from each other. So if you are interested in these species, please join! Together we can make something of it.

regards Joost

I just joined! I only have one pair of Tylototriton shanjing. If I can ever find anyone in Canada that breeds any other tylo's, I'm sure my collection would boom quite suddenly. I really look forward to some interesting discussions and hearing about how others keep their crocodile newts.

Thanks Ben, hope you'll like it (your free to add some pictures)

I hope that also more experienced people will join, so we can have a high knowledged group

hehe, not yet Dawn. I'm planning for some discussions, when there are some more members

Hello joost,
this your new social group has fallen from the sky. I just received 2 T.shanjing to 2 days ago, never had any crocodile newts before, so as you can guess I am full of desire to learn more and exchange experiences!

regards

I just added some of pics of my T.Shanjing and their tank to the group.:D Enjoy

OK. So this makes me sound like a noob..but how do I join?

Click this link. Right above the picture on the right you'll see the join group button.

thanks for clearing this up Justin. This is a lot easier. I always went to a profile, which have a social group LOL

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
