If you could get clearer pictures of them from the side of right behind their back legs, it'd be easier to tell. My guess at this point would be female as I don't see an obvious bulge back there and they are more round, but pictures at the right angle would be helpful. They are very cute!

the white one unfortunately passed away. i probably do have a pic or video somewhere ... but when my golden one moves ill get a pic from behind! maybe ill have to change its name if its a female lol.

Sorry the white one died. You actually want a picture from the side, like this:

Also, how old are they. They could "change" if they aren't mature yet. This one has become a very well-endowed male, but in the picture doesn't look it yet as he was only a few months old at the time.

I really have no idea how old it is. I dont think the pet shop even has any idea to be honest! I just got a pic of him/her on the side. Hopefully it is ok

It looks female to me, but if its less than 8-10 in, it may still be maturing and be a male that just hasn't developed fully yet.

I think he or she is too small to determine the sex.

Its about 4-5 in at the moment. So seeing as he/she is still maturing how old would it roughly be do you think ?

Its almost impossible to tell. Because it depends on the kind of feed, the amount of feed, the watertemperature... in how fast they grow.
