SOOO CUTE! I wish I had my axies at that size. They're adorable.

And.. I've got a name suggestion for that black one.

I love babies they are soooo cute.

What about Shadow? mine has been christened podge as he is rather fat.
Watch him for 5 minutes or so, note down what he does and then see if you think a name suits his character?

Hi, those are soooo cute!! Love their names!
Maybe Charo could be a name for a melanoid Axolotl, it's derived from charcoal.

ok, so they have grown a bit and my leucistic seems to have gotten a lot more spots than before.

I wish my phone took better pictures.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
