What I found may not seem like much to you guys, but for me it is, since I don't get to do this sort of thing very often at all. The first pic is of a leopard frog. The next one is of a water boatman (I think). The next one is of a shiner fish. My dad told me about that one. They're commonly used as bait. The next three are of the bay. Lovely, isn't it? The next pic is of some tracks I found. My dad told me they're fox tracks. Very excited about that find! I found them on a small sandy island in the bay. The next one is of another leopard frog I found.

Looks like a fun outing.

The insect in the photo appears to be a <a href="http://www.mister-toad.com/photos/inverts/belostoma_limpet_01.html"> Water Bug (<i>Belostoma sp</i>).</a>

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
