Pictures of my four new axolotls!

Currently the 4 jeuvies are in a 150 litre tank

I have on order a 5 ft long 400 litre tank on the way so i can cycle it and it will be ready for them as they start to get bigger =]

Great photos and they are so clear . My photos are taken with my phone and always seem so dark compared to some of the ones I see her.
Your Juvies will have a ball when they have so much room.

I have read on these forums that axolotls tolerate more than enjoy each others company, but I have noticed mine likes to chase it's reflection in the glass and look at itself a lot of the time. So I hope the four of them enjoy themselves/

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
