Here I would like to show you a new tank for triturus cristatus. The aquarium is of 80 liters, but to me the half will be enough, I will make different emerged zones, and I will put there some musk, and of the small falls to light flow.
in the photo the aquarium can be seen in the initial situation.

after having cleaned for well the old aquarium, and after having destroyed the filter of the water, I have thought about building one of it of healthy plant.
as you can see in the photos.: D

after the filter, I have begun to elaborate a good background with zone emerged by to be able to put in the aquarium. My principal intention is to realize emerged zones and small falls in such way that the water in movement can humidify the air in the tank.

Will it be terrestrial or aquatic, or both?

it will be terrestrial and aquatic. I want to make to decide to the newts as to live.
Today I have modeled the polystyrene creating the effect rock. In the emerged zones I have created zones where to put the musk from wood.
the colors, from me select, are the grey one and the brown one.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
