It's been a while since I've posted a update on my axies and such.

I've been lurking occasionally but I've been busy with work and such.

my axies are still on the move, and length wise too!

the following pictures compare Lance and my other (still nameless) axie with my 21yo man hands as a comparison.

not much has changed in my tank, in fact the layout has been the way it is for about 4 months now and is defiantly needing a mix up, when I get around to it!

Just a random thought on your nameless Axie....how about Alot or Olot, as in "Lance-Alot" or "Ax-Olot-l"?

Yeah names are tough....today my boyfriend's four year old daughter named my albino melanoid 'Black Cat.' I mean, my other axie is a dark(almost black) wild in the tank with it. Why!!!!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
