Hello all,
I'm Jesse I live in the Seattle area of Washington state. I just got my first Axie, Mr. Hankey he's been lots of fun so far and is spoiled rotten. Here's a few pictures of him doin what he does.

He likes the camera he follows it around the tank.

He also LOVES the bubbles, the pet store said he wouldn't so I didn't put them in at first.
But I felt his tank wasn't being air-rated properly so I put in a big round air stone, and a soft air pump.

He loves his new home. I remodel for him once a month or so, he finds new play spots often.

Sorry... I'm new haha!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
