Also, Is Taco a melanoid? O: When I got him it looked like a wild type but from what ive read, and looking at the eyes, I think he's a melanoid with wild type color? o:

Aww they all have such long and pretty gills! Mine are yet to grow theirs longer :p
Taco looks like he's got the "om nom nom" face going on!

Pretty sure he's a wild type! He seems to have the shiny ring showing in the first photo.

The first photo is Freckles :) Not Taco. Taco is the second photo

Oh sorry! haha they look so similar!

I can't really tell. He definitely has a lighter ring around his eye... but I can't tell if it's shiny or not.

Actually In real life, It dosnt look like Taco has a ring at all in his eyes o: So I think he's a melanoid.

Aww, they are all adorable. I love Taco's expression. XD

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
