Rainy Friday night

Finally, the summer break ended and the amphibians are on the road again. Within twenty minutes we saw 150 Salamander, it was wonderful, though it has always rained,

150? O_O Bloody hell....you beat my personal record of 55 and i thought that had been impressive.
I take my metaphorical hat off.

I like that picture with the Bufo bufo and the S.salamandra with the dividing "line" in the middle. It´s like they are asking you to choose a side.

Very cool... after it had heavily rained for two weeks in germany I also got my first sightings in my new locality. Went walking to get some mosses for the terrarium and found about 50 Toads (I guess B. bufo), without even searching. Unluckily, no newts.

Wow. The most salamanders I've ever happened upon was twenty-thirty. You far surpassed my record.
