I'd like to see your unusual tank ornaments! Show and tell!

I was reading the very long axolotl tank thread and saw some quite unique tank ornaments (naked man, storm trooper, teapot, for example).

I'd like to see what weird and wonderful ornaments people have to liven up those vivaria, aquariums and terrariums.

Here's mine... my partner's nickname is Moose... so he stuck a moose in the shrimp tank...

Sphynx in the back, he's a little camera shy.

Unfortunately, I can't add a picture at the moment. But I can inform you all that I have a large plastic strawberry cave in my tank. My boyfriend will hate it, but I think it's cute

I'm into the classic Penn-Plax ornaments that they sold when I was a kid. I was lucky enough to find my favorite one at the tail end of this model's availability many years ago. I recently repaired it and gave it a home.

Mine just got a glass (with driftwood fern tied to it with fishing line)

I just wanted to gain height without using too much floor space so they got a vintage 1950's tall thin glass ;) lol

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
