Hey everyone, I am new here! I want to introduce everyone to Zoro! He(may be a she, not sure) is my new little guy, I rescued him from a shop. He seems to be in tip top shape though and I can't wait for him to get bigger, really hoping his color stays the same. I got him set up in a 10g and he seems very happy. I am glad to be here, lots of useful information and pictures! :D

Wow, what a pretty green! Are the photos pretty accurate to how he looks in real life? I'm glad he looks so happy and healthy, especially for buying him out of a shop. :)

Loving Zoro's colour :)

Thanks!!! Yeah the photos are pretty accurate, it is mostly about the lighting I guess. Here are a few more from this morning! The lighting sort of made it hard to get one of my clear shots, but they still look good to me!

By the color of his pupils, he looks to be a GFP :) Explains his green color too.

Congrats on your green glowy find.

Yep, definitely an awesome GFP lotl :D

Really I didn't even think of that, thank you guys so much for pointing that out! :D So question, I haven't done much research on GFP so far, is it only black light that they will glow under?

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
