Thank u, yes he was looking very smug there. I had bought him (not sure on sex just needed a sex for the kids ref. )a tank mate bit bigger than him after reading the comments decided the other can come visit. Pablo took great offence to the intrusion to his spoilt world.... newcomer returned to shop... one axie it is...

 being social!

Don't be afraid to keep sharing, folk like myself can't get enough of lotl pictures ;)

Just remember there's no such thing as too many photos :D

We're all axie mad here & given some of the sad axies in poor conditions that we see pics of, it always nice to see pictures of healthy happy axies :)

So keep on snapping :D

Awww, those little cheeks. Makes me wanna squeeze them :D

:p very chubby cheaks, because the little glutton hoovered up 3 pieces of frozen beef/prawn block n 2 pellets. After black worms n 2 pellets for breakie. ♥

not sure how to put pics directly to the thread instead of just an attachment. But put his new ornamemt in when i cleaned the tank this morning, rearanged few things. I hope he likes it.

Learnt the hard way to secure the chiller pipes when cleaning. He had knocked the outlet pipe out while was scrubbing his stuff in the laundry. My little man came in all panicd, saying the tank is leaking. half the loungeroom covred in water. lucky i have tiles!

Out hunting earthworms. Thought this one was going to outsmart him. was madly pushing on the bowl while the worm had moved out the other side.. Then looking smug, eating the catch..

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
