I just got my axolotl eggs in the mail and needed to share them cause I think they are adorable, even though they aren't too close to being hatched!

The picture isn't very good quality, but you can see my little "baby sea lions." :) If you look near the middle, you can see my little set of twins! :)

I got around 70 eggs, so this is just a small portion of them.

Congratulations! Welcome to the axie parenting world!

They are constantly hatching! One container of them, on their first feed. Probably too soon, but better to waste some BBS then to feed too late. I love them already!

They only get cuter! Wait until you start seeing leg buds.

Oh my gosh, I may just die of cuteness. Not gonna lie.

What color do you think their frills will be? When do they start to show color? :)

I can already see the pink/reddish color already in some of the bigger ones. It's very faint so far so it's hard to capture it in a picture. Super adorable. :)

Fatties should be the technical term for axolotl larvae.

I must agree! Their tummies are constantly orange and big! They look cuter that way. I hope they live it up while they can, cause food twice a day will only last a few months! lol.

Almost an inch long! :D

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
