I found this terrarium design for terrestrial amphibians in a book for laboratory animals. I am getting a 60 litre tank which I am hoping to create something similar in to house my T. shanjing. A large area on one side with a slight stream in front of the land area created either with glass divider or a sloping floor design.
Thinking plenty of rocks, cork bark, hides, live plants (ferns, ivy, creeping plants), aquatic plants and moss.
The design uses a circulation pump taking water from the water area up the back of the tank to create a waterfall.
Circulation pumps I have researched have settings on them for slow flow and rapid flow.
My question could this be used to mimic seasons to create a flood to enhance breeding?
Any thought or suggestions?
