you will probably get more! me female fire belly laid about 80 this season! not sure about sword tails but im sure its similar :p

she is still laying eggs and i dont know when she will stop lol shes been doing it for like 3 months lol

I think that's normal for Cynops newts, one of my female C. pyrrhogaster has been laying on and off all summer. I'm glad I collected some to raise early in the year because the other newts have learned to follow her round and eat the eggs almost as fast as she's laying them! How are your babies doing?

they are doing good they have their little back legs ill take another picture and put it up i havent been collecting any eggs lately cause i have a full time job with all these babies my newts have also been eating them as fast as she is laying them she eats them too lol. maby thats why they havent been eating their worms because theyve been eating all the worms.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
