They look nice and healthy, you'll have fun when they all morph and there's 38 little juveniles to feed :)

ya im really excited and impatient cause ive never gone through the process so its really exciting to watch them change and they are already alot of work feeding and cleaning so i can imagine how much work its going to be when they morph i guess im not doing so bad for first time

Yeah, you're doing great! I only collected 10 eggs to raise from my Japanese fire bellies and sometimes keeping them fed was tricky. Some seem to stop eating for a while once they morph and i was quite worried at times, but one by one they began feeding again and are greedy little eating machines now!
Good luck with them, and don't forget to keep their container well covered when they start changing, they are expert escape artists! :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
