Hey all,

Just wanted to share some pictures of my T. granulosa cooling setup. I made it like this: First I took a large Styrofoam cooler, and filled it halfway with water. Then I took two plastic shoe boxes and filled them three quarters of the way full of water. Next I added a plant to each and a cork float to each. Then I drilled a hole in the lid of the cooler. Next I added ice packs to the cooler, not in the shoe boxes, but in the Styrofoam cooler. Then I added my newts. Then I put a flashlight of light in the whole I drilled in the top of the lid, so that there would be a little light for the newts, instead of dark all the time. I do 100% water changes every two days. I also inspect my newts regularly, partly for fun and partly to check for any problems. I turn the light off at night. I feed them chopped up earthworms, and they usually eat some.
One of my males is partly in breeding dress and amplexess females regularly. No eggs yet but hopefully I will get some.

What do you guys think?
-Seth
