What species is my new tiger plz ?

I was looking online and leaning towards gray tiger but I'm not sure, I know that subspecies cross territories and it might be hard to tell but I want to be a little more sure than I am, I am from Miami Florida and I know there are no tigers even close to here, I bought him from a reptile shop a week ago super skinny too and it was sold as a blotched tiger but I know pet shops don't know **** I wanted my current female to have a companion, they get along great, thank you in advance.

I can't be sure on what type without knowing where it came from but, it should really be quarantined for a couple weeks to make sure everything goes smoothy as the new tiger is wild caught and may have some parasites/diseases.
 
You're right, thank God I have an extra 10 gallon lying around, he is a healthy eater and has been doing the normal salamander things, digging underground, walking, and eating lol, but I will separate him for a couple of weeks just in case, I was so excited about getting him I totally forgot about quarantining
 
Looks like a blotched to me but its tough to really say.
 
I wouldn't keep them together until you see if the skinny one perks up. Baby it and hope for the best.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
