Hey guys this is my main man alan. Ive done reading before I got him but inwas wondering (you guys really know your stuff) if you have any advice and if you could help identify what type he is :) thanks

Not to be rude and maybe you bought him like that but it looks like his gill frills are completely gone, you might want to check your water quality, it seems like when people's axies get sick or anything the gills frills are the first things to go. Good luck! and yes it looks like he's a pretty golden albino :)

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
