I'm just curious to see whether anyone has seen another Axolotl like this, she's almost sand coloured and she's so beautiful! Sorry for the blurry pictures, I didn't want to disturb her too much :p

She's gorgeous :D

We'll now be wanting regular photo updates of her loveliness.

I couldn't resist her, she was a spur of the moment buy, so my wild type now has a friend :D

Of course, I'm sure everyone will be seeing far too many photos of my two now, I already take a photo every time they move! They're just too interesting! :p

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
