    Anyone ever kept tailed frogs?

I don't think anybody has kept them in captivity but I've read about them. They live in flowing streams so would need a sort of hillstream paludarium with lots of big pebbles to hide under. To breed them you would need to aestivate the adults over winter like you would with fire belly toads and...

Ribbed newts bit off other newts tail

So I have six ribbed newts. One of my leucistic newts appeared to have gotten his tail bit off by another newt. I do not know the exact time but I assume it was a few days ago. Some of the tail bone is exposed, but otherwise there is no bleeding and there's no exposed meat. He is having trouble...

I see them...

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
