Yes this is common.. my female wildtpye only has 2 toes on her rear foot, looks like a claw.. in total she only have one normal foot!
It quie normal for a foot to be bitten off when they are young and over crowded and then re grow.. when the foot re grows is when the toes dont come back right.. but dont worry your new axie will be fine!

3 is not bad, one of mine has 6 toes, actually makes walking around a bit awkward.

yeah my female is an extra toe freak!lol.5 on a front foot and another toe growing from her original toe!i think i have pics somewhere.
the 1st pic you can see the small toe growing from the normal toe.(looks a lil like the toe is splitting at the end)lol.the second is just the extra toe!hehe.sorry about the crappy pics.i took them on my phone so they look darker and more blurred on the comp!
ps i like ht e colour wildtype you have Peter.my larvae seem to be that yellowy brown colour with dark spots on them.cant wait 2 see what shade of wildtype they will be when they are a bit older!
