Yeppers, 60 gallons!

Oy! This tank was a pain in the butt to get up the stairs of our apartment! We had to borrow the van from my husband's family just to get it to our house!

We're really going to be pinching pennies this month because of this tank, but it was well worth it! I was also able to purchase online from www.bigalsonline.com my Canister filter up to 75 gallons (284.25 liters) So that will be here in about a week or two. Also going to pick up a big hefty bag of fine grain sand from Home Depot, which will cost $4 for a 50 pound bag of sand. What a deal! Will get the sand when the filter gets here.

I feel special today. I got my christmas present (early) and this is it for me. I will have this tank a good many years.

but then again you definitly had to buy it because of the deal. Where did you buy it again? Have fun with it!!!!

I got it at Petsmart for $119. After taxes it was $129.29. Taxes here are expensive.

But it was the same price as a 50 gallon tank. I only got it because I have 6 Axolotls lol.

Yea $119 isn't in my budget right now.

I wish it was because i would have bought that in a second.

Hey Nathan, When I am not so wired on Caffine I'll measure the tank. It's madness over here, all there of my cats are running around tearing up everything because the youngest cat is going into heat... I guess. It's too early in the morning!

Jordan, As soon as I get that filter in about a week or two I am going to run out to Home Depot and get a 50 pound bag of sand. It will cost me $4. Great deal! After that I am going to wash it then set up the tank and let it cycle for 30 days (more if needed).

I really am excited to get that filter

well thats good, i hope your cycling goes accordign to planed.

Rheann, I found the easiest way to wash the sand is little bits at a time. I had a heck of a time trying to wash it all :p

I usually use a cloth rice bag to help me wash new substrate. Don't have one right now, so I'll have to use an old pillow case or a towel.

Before I got the grainy sand from Home Depot. This time I am going to go with the Fine Grain.
