I am currently using Yellowpebble's method of hatching shrimp..but here are a couple of pictures of the brine shrimp hatchery when my fish houses was up and running a couple of years ago.

I used plastic juice bottles. waste pipe brackets and a couple of 3 way valves..air comes in from the side valve and goes up to keep every thing moving. When you need to harvest turn of the air (at the side) allow the contents to separate (shrimp gather at the bottom, eggs float to the top) open the bottom valve and collect the shrimp in a fine net or what ever.

Hope you like it ..

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
