Hello,
I’ve got some young axolotls, approx 3 months old. I’ve attached a photo and as you can see some are the right way up, some are on their side and others are just always upside down. Anyone any clue as to why this is? Some go in and out of it but others have been upside down since their back legs came through.
They are kept in storage containers, get water changed every day and get fed once daily cut up frozen bloodworm.
Thanks!

larvae are prone to swallowing air and getting it stuck in their lungs, which can result in floating like this. i've never had an issue with it, but i believe it resolves with time

I had heard this but they’ve been like this for a month and I’m starting to worry
