I have been looking at getting an air stone for my 20 gallon tank. I was wondering if anyone can recommend one they have had a good experience with.

Also, are there any suggestions about the size of the air stone? I am planning on getting a small one to put in the corner, but I was curious if too many bubbles is a bad thing in case I decided to get a larger one. I will definitely make sure it isn't bite-sized!

Air stones are pretty generic. I've never tried the wooden ones.

Too many bubbles shouldn't be a problem unless they cause noticeable turbulence in the water. They do make some air pumps that are adjustable.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
