I already raise red wrigglers and european nightcrawlers. I was looking for another worm not in the dendrobaena or eisenia genus to feed my salamanders and I came across the africans (Eudrilus eugeniae). They like it a little warmer than the europeans, or atleast they can't tolerate the cold for long periods of time like the hardy europeans or red wrigglers and breeding slows, but as long as you raise them indoors you don't need to worry about anything. They seem to be the fastest breeding worm used in composting and can reach a larger size than the europeans. I think I'll start raising some and see how they do.
