Aggression?

Im wondering if other people find that their axies aggression changes with the colour of the axolotl.

I have found that my wildtype is more aggressive in everyway from my lecuy.

Crumble the wildtype will nip me everytime I go in the tank, wehther its to feed them or to move stuff and put things back.. but were as Jynx will not... she only bites if I have a worm in my hand and she misses lol.

Anyone?

they probably bite you not coz of aggression but because its got a bigger apatite then the other and likes to eat alot like my wildtype lol

Carl i have spoken to a couple of people that find their wildtypes more aggressive that any others..

I wanted to know if anyone else had noticed this.

Aximander is way more aggressive- she snaps at everything that might mean food! Falkor on the other hand, shovels through the bottom of the tank slowly with her nose trying to dig up food that way... could be differences in how they were fed before I got them? Aximander's eyesight also seems pretty good compared to Falkor's because she runs out to see me when I come in the room, but I don't think her nose works at all. She's very frantic in snapping at food, and if she misses she has a very hard time finding it again. I have to target feed her to be sure she'll eat, whereas I can throw food anywhere for Falkor and she'll sniff it out.

Leah, because she has a hard time finding it again, that means she's hunting by smell and not eyesight. think of it this way: if you are wandering around blindfolded, and there's an onion across the room, do you think you could find the onion better by seeing it, or by just smelling it? My axies refuse to hunt for their own food, although i'm trying to assist them with learning how. They're just lazy.

my wildtype is always snappy. i wouldnt say agressive. but maybe because he always looks like hes got a big smile on his face as he floats around the tank.

my other one which im not sure if is a melanoid or wildtype is snappy to. (she seems to have gold rings round her eyes but im not sure)

also, my blonde axys really seem to act it to. i drop food infront of their faces n theyre like tum tee tum then a few seconds later after its past them theyre lik 'oh oh oh did i miss something'

my adult leceustic is just miserable. and was the only one that put up a big fight when i tried to grab her to transfer her into the new tank. but my baby one seems all happy n cool.

oh and my baby wildtype who isnt growing. he snaps loads at food and steals it off my baby leceustic. its so cute i have pics on my fone of them stomping round the tank with the same worm in their mouths.

My wild-type is more snappy than my Leucistic, but I never thought anything of it.

Wildtypes are more aggressive. Particularly towards non-wildtypes. That's the way of things.
