is it possibly to have a albino red spotted newt? 3 of the 30 or so larva i have are very very light almost clear looking whereas the others are very dark could these possibly be of albino or some abnormal pigmentation? or is this normal for some larva to be nearly transparent compared to the others?

Some of my cynops ensicauda larvas were very light and they became darker just before becoming newts. So wait and see...

I've also observed a lot of color variation among C. ensicauda larvae. But I've never seen much variation among Notophthalmus. One possibility is that the light ones are younger and haven't developed as much pigment as the others. Some adult Notos are lighter colored, so maybe they could end up being lighter colored ones. Unless they have pink eyes, I doubt they are really going to be wildly different.

I have seen Albino Leapord frogs...I think it is possible but wait and see what color his eyes are
