Algae? What is this?Had it for MONTHS

Please can someone help ive had this algae type thing for months (pictures below) and I can't get rid of it no matter what I do please help!

parameters:
0ppm ammonia and nitrite
15-20 nitrate
I have quite hard water (dont know exactly tho)
I have an axolotl in the tank

Hi,
Have you got living aquatic plants in your tank ?
If not, the algae will naturally uptake the available and other elements.
Nitrates above 12 ppm favour algae.

If you have hard water, floating plants like Salvinia or Pistia are the most competitive because they don't rely on dissolved carbon dioxyde.
