Ammonia Burns

Throughout my ammonia problems, my axie has ended up with flacking skin and sad gills. He was very stressed (ive never seen such a red wildtype or such a curled tail) but has calmed down now. He is in a small dish and floats unless his feet touch the ground. I am changing the water every day. The ammonia is pretty much down to 0 again in his tank. When should I put him back in the tank? i dont know if it is just being in the small dish thats stressing him. Should I wait until he stops floating? Shoudl I get some stress coat?

im having the same problem with my albino, from what the people here told me is to keep him in a bowl in your fridge with declorinator of course, i use start right bc it is stress coat and chlorine/chloramine eliminator. twice a day u should put him in a 1 liter of cold dechlored water with 2 tsp aquarium salt for 10 minutes then back into a bowl of fresh cold water and back in the fridge, do it until he starts to heal and his tank is fully cycled. im really new at this myself but i hope helped
