DISCOsauriscus? I want it for a nickname!

Been awhile since I've been down to the royal tyrell... maybe soon...

They have a few live Axolotls there now, and a necturus skeleton is on display in the review of modern forms. Reptile world is really dissapointing - the only caudates are ambystoma mavortium melanostictum, salamandra salamandra, cynops pyrrhogaster, and tylototriton shanjing. It would have been exciting seeing the shanjing if I didn't have two sitting in my living room, and all of the caudates on display (with the sole exception of the japanese firebellies which they probably picked up at petsmart) were alone in their enclosures, so they couldn't even pretend to be attempting to breed them. Also, -none- of the animals in the entire place had hiding places.

My favorite prehistoric amphibian has got to be either Diplocalus or Gherrothorax.
