Just saw this nasty little critter hanging on from the side of my axies head. He seems to not be stressed at all, eating fine and doing well. This tinny worm is very thin like a hair and it just wiggles, i know anchor worms are supposed to be thicker and have some kind of split tail? i feed him live earthworms and salamander pellets. Pics are a little blurry due to zoom effect. How can i treat this? is it a parasite?

I have attached a link to an article which, if you scroll down to the treatment section, mentions a treatment for anchor worm, and also links to a previous thread where it is discussed.

However, please confirm diagnosis and treatment with a more experienced keeper before starting on any treatment.

Best of luck and please keep us posted on your progress.
